NEW HORIZONS PLAN
OUR CHALLENGE
We have maxed out the space in the Kafakumba Center grounds. We were generously offered rooms to use as classrooms, but only temporarily.
The church owns land next to the center and we have been given permission to make this Kafakumba Christian School’s forever home! |
OUR GOAL
Under the name New Horizons, we are excited to grow and provide quality educational facilities and services to our students and staff.

PHASE 1: SUMMARY
Phase 1 Building Expansion:
- Primary Classrooms (7 classrooms: Pre-K-6), Head Teachers Office/Staff Room/Supply Room, and Primary/Secondary Library
Phase 1 Monetary Goal: $100,000
- Thanks to a very generous donor, all contributions were matched by a $50,000 donation. Upon completion of New Horizons' funding goal of $100,000, construction began in 2023.
PHASE 1: COMPLETE!
We are excited to have met our Phase 1 goal, and have moved into our new (primary grades) school building in September 2025! A very BIG THANK YOU to our generous donors!
We are hoping to start construction on Phase 2 as soon as possible!

- The remaining construction includes: Secondary grades (4 classrooms), science lab, computer lab, head teachers office, as well as additional toilet blocks (teachers and secondary), a playground, and sports fields!

OUR VISION:
We want to see these kids through graduation with a quality education, and set them up for a bright future. This is a huge endeavor - but one that has been made a possibility through your generous donations and sponsorships.
Our end goal is for the businesses in Zambia to support the school’s advancement. Until then, we appreciate all the support we receive and can 100% promise you that every penny goes to making this school a reality for these high risk children who are going to change this little part of the world one day.
