Future Plans
Kafakumba Christian School is off to a great start this school year!
We are finalizing plans to prepare for the addition of our grade 7 next year.
In Zambia, grade 7 is a very important year as the students will sit for their first ever government-mandated exam.
The government system requires a student to adequately pass this exam in order to proceed to grade 8.
Our Challenge:
We have maxed out the space available to us in the Kafakumba Center grounds. We were generously offered rooms to use as classrooms, but only temporarily.
The church owns land next to the center and we have been given permission to make this Kafakumba Christian School’s forever home!
Our Goal:
Our goal now is to start building in this location and complete phase 1 of our building plans by January 2023.
🏫Phase 1: Our goal is to raise $100,000 to begin working on grade 6, 7, and 8 classrooms with toilets, as well as the required technology room, library, and science lab. Completing this phase will allow our grade 6 and grade 7 students to be in their new room next year and provide another year of time before the grade 9 class would be needed.
🏫Phase 2: This phase will aim to be completed by Jan 2025 and would include the grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 classrooms.
We’ve Updated Our Vision:
We want to see these kids through Grade 12 with a quality education, and set them up for a bright future.
This is a huge endeavor - but one that has been made a possibility through your generous donations and sponsorships.
Our end goal is for the businesses in Zambia to support the school’s advancement. Until then, we appreciate all the support we receive and can 100% promise you that every penny goes to making this school a reality for these high risk children who are going to change this little part of the world one day.
