ABOUT US

The beginning

Kafakumba Christian School was the vision of Lorraine Enright, who had a heart for the children in the communities surrounding Kafakumba Training Center.
It began as an extension of God's Kids, an outreach program for the local villages. Lorraine saw that the children living adjacent to Kafakumba Training Center would benefit from a preschool to give them a  jump-start for their education.
After two years of preschool, we realized that the students would benefit even more from continuing their education with us.
The preschool was expanded at the beginning of the 2017 school year, and was registered as a private school with the Ministry of Education.

Where We are

Located near Ndola in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia, our school is part of Kafakumba Training Center, a United Methodist mission began by John and Kendra Enright.

The goal of Kafakumba is to equip the people of Africa with an understanding of the principles of the Kingdom of God in order to transform lives through community, servant-hood, focusing on the least, trusteeship, nonviolence, love, and unity.

Our future

This year, we are ministering to ninety students in grades Reception (Kindergarten) to Grade 5. We hope to continue to advance the students in each of our classes up to grade nine, adding a new reception class of local, high-risk students each year.
We are invested in these students lives, and would like to give them access to the support and life skills necessary to shape them into positive influences and leaders in their community.
